Kristin Tassi | President

Kristin Tassi is the founder and president of Tassi Communications, Inc., a Chicago based boutique agency delivering a full range of customized communications services. Specializing in media relations, public affairs, and event production, Tassi Communications designs campaigns that help clients reach key audiences, influence opinion, and inspire action

Tassi Communications represents clients across multiple industries including automotive, banking, healthcare, real estate, legal, and shipping and logistics. As such, Kristin is skilled at tailoring communications to meet a variety of business objectives, from driving new business leads and increasing sales to building credibility and establishing thought leadership.

Kristin works closely with her clients to find and tell the stories that resonate with media and leverages her strong local and national media relationships to secure positive coverage. She frequently delivers customized media training to executives to ensure impactful message delivery. Kristin also advises clients on digital media strategy and implementation, helping them streamline their communications in a way that positions them as influencers and reaches new audiences.

Throughout her career, Kristin has directed a multi year grassroots and media relations campaign for a Fortune 10 automaker aimed at improving its reputation and increasing local market share; managed an earned media and influencer campaign allowing a Fortune 100 company to retain a direct relationship with its employees following a union election; designed and implemented a social media strategy for a best selling author, enabling her to reach more than 10,000 new followers; and produced a series of annual, local educational events on behalf of the largest health carrier in the U.S., routinely surpassing attendance objectives through a comprehensive grassroots marketing effort.

Kristin holds a master’s degree in organizational communication from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in communication and Spanish from Ohio University. She serves as an adjunct instructor in the College of Communication at DePaul University where she teaches organizational communication and business and professional communication. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband and two sons.
