WHO WE ARE
Kristin Tassi is the founder and president of Tassi Communications, Inc., a full-service communications agency counseling corporate and nonprofit clients across multiple industries, including finance, technology, automotive, professional services, and more. Kristin is skilled at tailoring communications to meet a variety of business objectives, from moving the needle on key legislation to building credibility, establishing thought leadership, and motivating action.

Kristin works closely with her clients to find and tell the stories that resonate with media and leverages her strong relationships to secure favorable, breakthrough coverage. She also advises clients on social strategy and strategic internal and external communication, helping them streamline their messaging in ways that inspire key internal and external stakeholders.

Kristin holds a bachelor's degree in communication and public advocacy from Ohio University and a master's degree in organizational communication from DePaul University. She serves as an adjunct instructor at DePaul University.
Julie Thorson brings more than a decade of public relations experience to her role as senior director. She has spearheaded countless PR campaigns, overseeing strategic planning, creative pitching, event management and more, always striving to exceed client expectations.
Julie’s experience working with a diverse group of clients has made her an expert at identifying and sharing compelling stories on th local and national levels. From leading media relations efforts for some of the country’s largest food and wine festivals to developing and implementing social strategies for national brands, she enjoys the variety and excitement that comes with every campaign.

Julie began her career at Weber Shandwick before serving as an executive director and partner at Isabelli Media Relations, a boutique agency in Chicago. Julie holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from Illinois State University.
Annamarie Schutt is a former broadcast journalist who brings several years of experience in local news media to her role as a public relations associate at Tassi Communications Inc.

Throughout her career, Annamarie has reported on hundreds of stories in communities across Northern Illinois, serving in roles ranging from multi-media broadcast journalist to evening news anchor. During her time as a journalist, she developed a keen eye for the stories others overlooked, taking pride in finding unexpected angles, elevating voices from underrepresented communities, and turning small, everyday moments into newsworthy narratives.
Annamarie holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Illinois State University. She is a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area and a fan of all Chicago sports—but the Blackhawks have her heart.
